Montezuma Gold
#eecc44
Muted gold-green warmth for UI charts and badges
About Montezuma Gold
Montezuma Gold reads like sunlight caught in brushed metal. It's not as pale and airy as Aurora, and it doesn't feel as deep and ticket-stub saturated as Golden Relic. This one lands closer to polished amber, with a richer yellow undertone that stays friendly instead of going heavy.
I use it when I need attention without feeling harsh on clean layouts. It works well for product headers and key badges in retail and commerce, plus campaign surfaces for consumer apps where you want "important" but not warning-y. Compared to New Gold, Montezuma Gold looks more honeyed and less brass-button sharp, so it stays a little softer in UI corners and icons.
Pair it with olive greens, warm creams, and soft charcoals for a grounded set. If you drop it next to very cool grays, it can start to look faintly flat, so keep at least one warm neutral in the mix.
