Furry Lion
#f09338
Lighter, honeyed orange for softer high-contrast accents
About Furry Lion
I keep seeing Furry Lion light up like a golden coat under warm indoor lights, but it never turns into full-on traffic orange. Compared to Burning Trail's burnished heat and Holland Tulip's sun-soft peach glow, this one reads more honeyed and less fiery, with a slightly playful, fuzzy undertone.
It's the yellow-family shade I reach for when you want emphasis that feels friendly and grounded in UI, not urgent. I use it in food delivery badges, checkout micro-highlights, category chips, and product cards where the brand needs to pop without shouting. For dashboards and finance apps, it works as a secondary action color too, especially alongside charcoal text. Compared with Cheddar's cooler, muted richness, Furry Lion feels a step brighter and more golden, with higher perceived warmth.
Pair it with deep gray or warm off-white, and avoid pairing it with overly cool blues next to it, or the yellow will look a touch washed at certain times of day.
