Spicy Paella
#f38f39
Deeper, red-leaning orange-yellow for sharp heat maps
About Spicy Paella
Spicy Paella looks like a paella pan taken off the burner: saffron-yellow at the core, but pulled slightly toward deep, spiced orange at the edges. Compared to Mandarin Rind and Furry Lion, it doesn't feel tangerine-soft or honey-fuzzy. It lands more warm and seasoned, with higher bite and a fuller middle tone.
I use it when a UI needs "food heat" without drifting into Mango Madness territory. It's the kind of shade that reads like a cooked, richer yellow rather than a fruit-bright highlight, so it works great for restaurant and grocery ordering flows, event ticket apps, and travel itinerary screens where the primary action needs to feel ready now. It's also my the one you reach for when badges, progress states, and promo tiles need momentum but shouldn't go too juicy or too amber-brown, especially alongside charcoal type in dashboards and finance apps.
Quirk: place it next to very clean cool grays and you'll feel the warmth tilt harder. Keep nearby neutrals slightly off-white so it stays controlled.
