Habañero
#f98513
Loud medium tangerine, warmer than Atomic Orange
About Habañero
Habañero is the orange I spot on a product screen that's trying to feel alive but not chaotic. It lands a touch more saturated than the amber-leaning oranges around it, with a more direct, spicy temperature rather than that rounded peach glow from Bourbon Peach. Compared to Atomic Orange, it doesn't step back into disciplined middle ground. It stays warmer and more forward, so it reads like intention, not restraint.
I reach for dashboards and finance apps-adjacent UI where you want clear emphasis on a status, highlight, or CTA without drifting into the darker, lower-energy territory of Atomic Orange. It's also great for food and travel interfaces: badges, category chips, and order buttons where you need momentum that still feels friendly. Pair it with charcoal type and off-white surfaces, and it holds its tone across typical screen lighting better than the lighter À l'Orange.
Quirk: on very light backgrounds it can feel a bit "hot" compared with neighbors, so I like it most for filled buttons, active states, and key visuals rather than thin borders.
