About Vapour
I think of Vapour as the mist that sits just above the floor of a dark UI. It's nearly white, but it doesn't feel like a blank wall. Instead, it carries a cool, airy undertone that's subtler than Bubbles' pale cyan lean, and less "almost-not-there" than Cold White.
Compared to Polar Bear in a Blizzard, Vapour doesn't have that slight cream warmth. It reads more neutral-cool, which is why I use it as the one you reach for when the page needs to feel calm without drifting into blue-tinted presence. It's great for healthcare and workflow apps where you want long-form readability, plus dense form surfaces, tables, and secondary panels in dashboards.
Pair it with mid grays that stay cool, and it keeps its composure. If you drop it next to warmer neutrals, it can look a touch off, like it missed the room's temperature.
