Silk Star
#f5eec6
Silky warm cream-green with higher softness contrast
About Silk Star
I keep thinking Silk Star looks like fabric caught in morning light. It has that pale, silky glow, but the green note is cleaner and more deliberate than the banana-leaning creams in your stack. Versus Banana Split, it reads less yellow and more leaf-tinged. Versus Clotted Cream, it's not almost-neutral, it keeps a faint chroma that won't let it disappear.
What I reach for is the one you reach for when you want a gentle green wash without the custard warmth. It works well in packaging mockups for wellness and pantry brands, in recipe and ingredient pages behind photos, and in ecommerce category cards where you need the background to feel fresh. Compared to Natural Light, it sits a touch smoother and more softly lit, with a calmer mood than a brighter, greener daylight paper.
Pair it with deeper olive, muted sage, or charcoal text so the green stays readable and intentional, not just off-white.
