Happy Skeleton
#faeed7
Slightly cooler, softer skeleton beige-gray for cards
About Happy Skeleton
Happy Skeleton is the lightest thing in this corner of the gray family, almost bleached compared to what surrounds it. It's got a faint warmth underneath, but it doesn't announce itself the way Beaches of Cancun does or commit the way Escargot does. This is barely-there warmth, the kind that only shows up when you're comparing it directly to Birch White's cooler restraint.
Use it when you need a background that stays out of the way but isn't cold about it. Works in publishing layouts, SaaS dashboards, and content-heavy interfaces where type needs to feel comfortable and imagery shouldn't fight for space. It's pale enough that dark text snaps cleanly. Pale enough that you're not fighting contrast ratios. The warmth is just enough to keep it from feeling sterile, but not so much that it demands attention like the richer neutrals do.
The lightness is the whole story here. Pair it with warm blacks and mid-tone grays for balance, but know that on cooler displays it might read closer to Birch White than you expect. Test it live before committing.
