Emoji Yellow
#ffde34
Softer lemon chartreuse for gentle green UI accents
About Emoji Yellow
On a white mockup, Emoji Yellow pops like a bright banana sticker rather than a soft backlight. It's lighter and punchier than Candlelight, with a more lemony undertone that keeps it from feeling honey-deep. Compared to Cheese It Up, it's less honey-warm and more crisp, so it reads clearer and sharper, not gently friendly.
In UI, I use it for things that need to be obvious without turning into a warning. Think product interfaces, onboarding steps, and ecommerce cart nudges, plus playful UI in media and food apps where you want highlight states to feel upbeat, not floaty. It also works well for small icons and badges on light surfaces, especially when Angel's Trumpet would look too airy and Candyel's Trumpet would feel too weighty.
Pair it with charcoal, deep olive, or clean off-white so the edges stay defined. If you stack it behind large blocks of pale yellow, it can start to look busy fast, so keep it to accents.
