About Tardis Blue

I keep seeing Tardis Blue as that "wait, that's still blue?" moment when a UI tries to go too generic. Compared with Lost in Space and 's Dream, it doesn't read like softened night-water or office-glass depth. It's darker than 's Dream, but it stays cleaner and more legible, with a steadier saturation instead of drifting toward near-black.

For product work, it's the one you reach for when you want the primary blue to feel measured, not muted. It lands well in dashboards and analytics surfaces for active states, key metrics, and link emphasis, and it also shows up nicely in healthcare systems and logistics portals where the interface needs to look composed on real data. Versus Aegean Blue, Tardis Blue comes off less assertive and more controlled, so it doesn't bully the layout.

Quick quirk: pair it with crisp light neutrals and let grays do the supporting. If you stack it beside other deep blues, it can start to look flatter, so give it contrast on text and spacing.
