Aegean Blue
#1b416f
Softer, balanced blue for calm data panels
About Aegean Blue
Aegean Blue is what happens when you go darker and *actually* saturated, not faded, not apologetic. It's the blue that looks intentional the moment you put it down. Where 3AM in Shibuya settles into the background and Bluedgeons sits in that lived-in middle ground, this one has spine. It's dark enough to feel authoritative, saturated enough that it doesn't need perfect conditions to work.
Reach for it in navigation systems, data dashboards, and fintech platforms where you need a primary blue that reads as decisive without feeling cold or clinical. It's got real weight in product interfaces, persistent headers, active button states, data highlights that actually command attention. Pairs cleanly with white type and doesn't create the visual strain that cooler primaries can. This is the one you reach for when lighter blues feel insubstantial but Beyond the Sea might be overkill.
The catch: on very dark backgrounds it can flatten slightly, and it needs some breathing room next to other saturated colors. But on white, light neutrals, or anything mid-tone, it just works. It doesn't ask for much.
