Epic Blue
#0066ee
Deep saturated blue anchor for primary UI accents
About Epic Blue
I keep Epic Blue around because it behaves like a true blue the moment it hits a UI canvas. It's deeper and cooler than Bluetiful, but it doesn't swing toward the purple edge the way Bluerocratic sometimes does. Compared to Blue Ribbon, it's not "pure primary only," it's moderated. That little restraint makes it feel more deliberate, less blunt, without losing authority.
I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps where you want strong hierarchy in charts, section headers, and primary CTA buttons. It holds up in admin panels and SaaS settings that need clarity, not clinic-cold. On white, Epic Blue reads crisp blue with a calm edge, not the aggressive directness of Blue Ribbon.
One quirk: it pairs best with warm neutrals and light grays. Go too cool with the background and it can start to feel heavier than you intended.
