Teal
#008080
Balanced medium teal with deep cool restraint
About Teal
On my monitor, Teal reads like a cleaned-up middle ground. It's not the darker authority of Emperor Jade, and it doesn't carry the sharper punch of Jade Jewel. This one feels calmer and more balanced, with a blue-leaning undertone that stays fresh instead of turning murky.
I reach for it in legacy UI chrome and panel headers where you want structure without the weight. It works hard in dashboards and finance apps for secondary actions, table highlights, and title bar accents, especially when the rest of the interface is mostly white or cool grays. Compared to the lighter, airy Windows 95 Desktop look, this shade holds its ground a touch more, so it stays crisp instead of floating.
Pair it with neutral whites and cool grays. If you drop it next to very icy blues, it can start to look a little flat, so add one slightly warmer neutral nearby to keep the tone grounded.
