About Black Hole
Black Hole is the color that disappears the fastest. Not because it's trying to, it's just so close to pure black that your eye stops looking for it after about half a second. There's almost nothing to grab onto, no warmth, no undertone playing tricks. Just density. It sits darker than Black Knight's intentional personality, colder than Black Stallion's planted weight, and way more final than Back in Black's whisper.
Reach for this in dark mode apps where the interface needs to vanish entirely: minimal design tools, photography platforms, video players, any context where you want the content, not the background, to own the room. It works harder than it looks because it's so neutral it creates space without competing. Pair it with type and accents, and they land immediately. Nothing gets lost in translation.
The catch: used alone, it can read as "I forgot to add a background color" rather than "I chose this." It needs intention around it. But when you need the background to do the least possible work while still reading as deliberate, this is the one.
