Graphite-dark raven tone for crisp UI contrast
About Raven
If you've ever stared at a dark editor theme and felt the background "settle" behind the text, Raven does that. It's not the void-receding kind of black, though. It holds onto a faint gray neutrality, so it reads as a controlled ink, not a floor you can't step on.
Compared to Black Wash, Raven has just enough presence that undertone still matters. Next to Black Metal's cool hairline intent, Raven stays steadier and grayer instead of leaning into a barely-there chill. And where Dreamless Sleep breathes slightly above near-black, Raven is tighter and lower, more subdued for dense layouts. I use it in dashboards and finance apps where table density and panels need to feel grounded, like logistics control UIs, insurance ops consoles, and admin screens for surveillance review.
Quick note: keep dividers a touch lighter than you think. Raven can make ultra-thin lines disappear faster than the slightly lifted options, so contrast and spacing do the heavy lifting.
