Lincoln Green
#195905
Medium, earthy green for balanced charts and fields
About Lincoln Green
Lincoln Green looks like freshly cut, slightly matte cloth: a medium-depth green that stays clearly green, not ink-black and not muddy. Compared to Deep Green, it lifts a bit brighter and avoids that cooler, heavier evergreen impression. Versus Duck Hunt, it has less of the dirt-toned bounce and reads cleaner and more intentional. And compared to Donegal Green, it doesn't mute quite as far toward workwear-gray, so the tone holds its punch.
I use it when the UI needs the one you reach for green that feels structured but not severe. It's my go-to in dashboards and finance apps for section headers, primary buttons, and status chips where you want consistency across dense tables. It also works well for logistics and field-service portals, especially on map overlays and priority labels, because it stays readable without tipping into forest-black.
One small quirk: because it's cleaner than the "earthy" cousins, pairing with very cool grays can make it feel a touch formal. Warm the background slightly (soft sand or cream) and it lands right.
