About Astral Nomad
Astral Nomad is what you get when you want blue to feel present but not aggressive about it. It's darker than Capital Blue, sits lower in value, but it's got more breathing room than Cold and Dark. There's saturation here, actual color weight, but it doesn't come at you cold. It's the shade that works in a room without dominating it.
Reach for this in product interfaces, SaaS dashboards, and app navigation where you need authority that doesn't feel clinical. It pairs with white type cleanly and doesn't create the strain or isolation that colder, more saturated blues can. Unlike Botanical Night, it leans decidedly blue instead of neutral; unlike Capital Blue, it's got enough darkness to ground a layout without the greenish undertone that keeps Capital from feeling quite as resolved.
The thing: it's genuinely flexible. Works alongside cool grays, doesn't fight warm neutrals the way Cold and Dark does, and handles both light and dark UI text without demanding special treatment. It's the kind of color that just slots into a system and doesn't make you second-guess the choice.
