About Royal Neptune
Royal Neptune looks like a deep ocean note under office lighting: not near-black, but heavy enough to feel anchored. Compared with Astral Nomad, it's punchier and more saturated, so it has less "breathing room" and more presence. And unlike Cold and Dark, it doesn't read like an icy lock. It stays blue-forward, but with a softer depth that doesn't feel confrontational.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps when the UI needs control without slipping into the sterile vibe. Think analytics headers, table toolbars, and primary action bars for SaaS products. It also plays nicely in video thumbnails for product teams and tech studios where blue has to carry weight against neutrals. Compared to Emerald Forest, it avoids the green drift, so it won't wander into jewel-tone territory.
One quirk: because it's richer than Astral Nomad, it can overpower mid-toned grays. I'll usually pair it with cooler, lighter neutrals so the layout keeps its edges.
