Botanical Night

Botanical blue-green for gentle, low-contrast panels
About Botanical Night
Botanical Night sits in that awkward middle where it's dark enough to anchor a layout but not quite as black as it pretends to be. It's got a whisper of warmth under the surface, not the obvious green lean of Cape Verde, not the surgical cold of Cold and Dark. This one feels more like a neutral that remembered it's supposed to be blue.
You'll reach for it in product UIs, dashboards, and fintech platforms where you need something that doesn't feel hostile but also doesn't apologize for being dark. It's easier to pair than Abyssal Waters because it's slightly less isolating, and it works harder than Cold and Dark because there's actually some oxygen in it. White type reads clean. Dark backgrounds won't swallow it the way they swallow things that are just too close to true black.
The catch: that neutral lean means it needs a little more thought around it. Pair it with the wrong gray and it flattens into something boring instead of grounded. Get the context right though, and it's the shade that doesn't demand anything from you while still holding its ground.
