About Sunken Mystery
Sunken Mystery reads like the blue you see under thick, still water: not the blackest pull in the room, but a heavier dip that keeps its color focus. Compared to Nocturnal Expedition, it feels less muted and less "night-first" and more like a deliberate, recessed blue surface. Against Abyssal Waters, it doesn't go so far into near-black that highlights fight to exist. And unlike Plunge, it's not a crisp wetsuit blue. It leans more saturated and grounded, with a slightly cooler, more submerged mood.
I use it for dashboards and operations portals where you want a panel backplate or chart gutter to stay readable without turning into pure depth. It also holds up in healthcare software and logistics UIs, especially for section headers, dividers, and sidebar rails where you want hierarchy calm but not flat. It's the one you reach for when you want blue to feel "inset" rather than bright.
Pair it with grays that aren't too warm, or it can look a bit murky next to beige-linted surfaces.
