Nocturne

Cool, inky slate blue for nighttime UI
About Nocturne
Nocturne (a deep blue that reads like a dim night sky behind matte glass) feels calmer than the sharper, icy blues in the family. Compared with Nocturne Blue's smoother, screen-aftertone glow, this one is darker and more held back, less "open." It also doesn't take on the heavier, compressed look of Dark Secret, and it avoids Juggernaut's more grounded, slate-ink neutrality.
I like it for dashboards and finance apps when you need a blue that stays quiet under dense UI. Think dark-mode section headers, active panel fills, and chart backplates where you want hierarchy without the backlit vibe. It's also a good fit for operations portals and newsroom analytics, where status tiles and filter bars need consistency rather than punch. This is the one I reach for when blue presence matters, but you still want restraint.
Watch for slight drift toward green-gray on a few displays; pair it with cooler divider lines and crisp, higher-contrast text to keep it from feeling muddy.
