Night Watch
#3c4f4e
Night UI gray with a cooler, muted lift
About Night Watch
Night Watch looks like the moment a monitor settles after hours of use: a medium-dark gray that still has air in it. Compared with All Nighter's near-black density, this one doesn't feel like it's staring back at you. And unlike Cover of Night, it lands slightly less "middle dark" and more grounded, with a steadier neutrality that avoids that subtle cooler edge.
I use this shade for primary panels and type on light gray to white surfaces when I want seriousness without the heavy punch. It's a strong fit for night-mode admin consoles, lab and logistics portals, and editorial workflows where contrast matters but the UI should stay readable for long stretches. Set it for table headers, field labels, and card borders that need to feel deliberate, not severe.
One quirk: Night Watch holds its composure next to both warmer and cooler grays, but if your surrounding colors are already very dark, it can start to blend. Pair it with a lighter companion for key states so it doesn't disappear.
