Ink Black

I like Ink Black when the design needs darkness that stays disciplined. It's not that bluish, edge-sharpening kind of cool you get from Darth Vader, and it doesn't flirt with the near-void neutrality of Bats Cloak. This one reads as a true deep gray, with slightly more weight and less "knife" to the contrast. The undertone doesn't sit back and disappear, it just stays quiet.

It's the one you reach for when you're building dark product interfaces for long sessions, where panels, thumbnails, and thin typography have to stay crisp without turning harsh. Think dashboards and finance-style UI, internal enterprise tools, and code-adjacent screens where you want hierarchy to hold up even after hours of scrolling. It also works well behind charts and control bars in media platforms, because the background feels grounded rather than weightless.

Pair it with a clean neutral highlight instead of something creamy. If your highlights pull warm, Ink Black can start to look a little muted next to them.
