Voodoo
#443240
Warm, low-saturation berry plum for grounded accents
About Voodoo
I think of Voodoo as the "plum lipstick" moment you see on a UI token right after it's been muted and shaded. It's deeper and more smoky than Purple Prose, but it still keeps a pink-leaning undertone instead of turning into the heavier, more restrained shadow tone of Shadow Purple.
On screen it lands mid-to-dark, with softened saturation that feels grounded rather than sweet. That makes it my the one you reach for when creator portals, streaming media overlays, and e-commerce admin need a primary state that reads clearly purple-pink without going grape-ink or bruise-cool. Compared with Murasaki's controlled clarity, Voodoo holds onto extra haze in the midtones, so it feels more "set back" and less skin-adjacent.
Pair it with warm grays, cocoa neutrals, and cream surfaces so it stays anchored. Too much steel or bright white can make it look dusty instead of intentional.
