Tuna
#46494e
Tuned medium gray with subtle cool neutrality
About Tuna
Tuna reads like the gray left on your monitor after a long session, muted but not sleepy. It's a steadier medium-dark than Isolation and Midnight Sky, and it never drops into the deeper, roomier weight of Dark Crypt. Where those lean more neutral or slightly cooler, Tuna has a touch more softness in the midtone and a slightly less recessive feel, so it holds its shape in layered interfaces.
I reach for it as a base surface in dark-mode dashboards and newsroom CMS builds when you want hierarchy to stay visible without turning harsh. It also does well in audio and photo editing sidebars for panel backgrounds, waveform neighborhoods, and metadata rails, especially when you're mixing in both lighter grays and near-black accents and you don't want the whole stack to start drifting.
Pair it with cooler highlights if you need extra snap. With warmer gray neighbors, it can look a bit too calm, and contrast starts to flatten faster than you'd expect.
