Meteorite
#4a3b6a
Low-lift violet with smoky blue depth
About Meteorite
Meteorite reads like a bruised plum shadow that's kept its clarity. Compared to Galactic Compass, it's less airy and less ink-like, with more grounded depth. Versus Haunted Candelabra, it stays cleaner and more luminous, not smoky or candlelit. And next to Her Highness, it doesn't go warm and cushioned, it holds a cooler, slightly steely undertone.
I use Meteorite for UI moments where you want purple to feel intentional but not heavy: section headers, selected states, and pressed controls on dark dashboards. It's a strong fit for dashboards and finance apps where the accent has to read as "primary" without drifting navy, and for media products like streaming app filters and timeline highlights when you need contrast that feels crisp, not grayed-out. This is the one you reach for when you're tired of either too-light lavender or too-smoky mulberry.
Pair it with cool grays or soft off-whites; warmer creams can pull it toward dull eggplant. If you're matching it to Galactic Compass, expect Meteorite to feel more solid and less breathable.
