Galactic Compass
#48357b
Balanced mid-deep purple, warmer and less bluish
About Galactic Compass
I keep seeing Galactic Compass as a purple wash that's been tuned to feel navigational, not bruised or navy. It's cooler and more light-holding than Evening Magic, and it doesn't sink into the desk-lamp darkness of Galactic Purple. Compared to Blueberry, it reads a touch more lifted and slightly more ink-like, with less mid-depth steadiness and more airy presence.
This is the the one you reach for when you want purple to show up as a primary brand layer on UI without stealing the spotlight from content. I like it for dashboards and finance apps where you need section bars, feature-callout headers, and selected filters that still feel breathable on dark backgrounds. In media products, it works for streaming cards and playback overlays where you want states to look crisp, not night-heavy.
Pair it with clean off-whites or cool grays. If you put it next to very blue purples, it can start to feel less "space" and more "ordered", which is great, as long as that's the vibe you're after.
