Jungle Civilization
#69673a
Mossy, slightly cooler olive for map accents
About Jungle Civilization
Jungle Civilization looks like a dark patch of wet foliage seen through shade, not a dusty herb tint. Compared with Eat Your Greens, it's deeper and more saturated, so it reads richer instead of clean and lifted. And unlike Beat Around the Bush, there's less brown-softening and more true green backbone.
It also sits apart from Bancha: it's warmer and more moss-forward, with less gray-cool restraint, so it feels more alive on the page. I use it for forest-heavy packaging and label systems for tea, botanical supplements, and natural cleaning brands where you want the green to feel grounded, not gray or leather-like. In UI, it's great for editorial story headers, sidebar panels, and product detail backgrounds that need contrast without going heavy like the darker browner options. Pair it with warm creams and off-black type so it stays leafy rather than muddy.
Quirk: put this next to very cool grays and it can start to feel a touch tense, so sanity-check your neutrals before locking the palette.
