About Extra Life
Extra Life reads like a fresh game HUD green: brighter and more lively than the signage-like greens, but it never turns into the moss-gloss look you'd see in Emerald Glitter. Compared to Exit Light, it has more punch and a cleaner, more open midtone. Compared to Frog, it feels less wet and shadey, more "ready" and immediate.
I use it when you want state changes that still feel friendly but not passive. Think in-product progress steps for e-commerce operations, dispatch and routing confirmations, clinical workflow checkmarks, and the green on experiment and feature rollout cards where you want attention without slipping into alert neon. It also works in dashboards and control panels for staffing, where you need quick scanning across many small modules, but the green has to stay legible.
Pair it with near-black or cool slate to keep the energy tight. If you put it beside warmer greens, it'll look cleaner and more UI-forward, less natural and less grounded.
