Afternoon Coffee is what happens when you want brown but you're not ready to let go of warmth entirely. It's darker and less saturated than Acorn or Annatto, those two still feel like they're announcing something. This one doesn't. It's settled into itself, the kind of shade that works because it's quiet, not because it's trying.

Pull it for food and beverage interfaces, editorial details, and product packaging where you need an accent that reads as grounded without feeling heavy. It lands cleanly on midtone and light backgrounds alike, and it won't flatten the way Chocolate Bliss sometimes does. Unlike Chocolate Bliss, which recedes, this one actually holds its place in the layout. Unlike Annatto, which still leans noticeably orange, Afternoon Coffee has stopped negotiating, it's committed to being brown.

It's moodier and cooler than Acorn, which means it pairs better with warm grays and charcoals than with cream. Test it next to white and you might find it reads slightly warm, but that's exactly what keeps it from disappearing into backgrounds where deeper browns would vanish.
