Camo Clay
#747f71
Earthy midtone camo gray for subdued panels
About Camo Clay
Camo Clay reads like a color that's been weathered into submission. It sits lower than Armour, noticeably darker, but it refuses the cool restraint that Black Mana trades in. There's enough green-gray mixed into the brown to keep it from feeling like dirt, but not enough to make it disappear the way Armour does. It's warm without warmth being the point.
This is the background you reach for in product interfaces where users need something substantial but not aggressive: design tools, content management systems, photography platforms. It's denser than Armour so it can actually anchor a secondary panel, but it won't compete with your saturated accents the way Concrete Jungle might. Unlike Black Mana, which goes full austere, Camo Clay has just enough earth tone to feel approachable. It's the one you pick when cool grays feel sterile but you're not ready to go warm.
Pair it with midtone type and muted greens or warm neutrals. It gets along poorly with bright, cold colors, they'll look washed out against it. Against dark text it feels solid. Against white space it disappears almost completely, which is sometimes exactly what you need.
