Heavy Heart
#771122
Muted wine-red orange for solemn borders and states
About Heavy Heart
Heavy Heart looks like the last thread of wine stain drying into a warm bruise on kraft paper. It's a deep, heavy red-brown, but it doesn't tip all the way into the "charred" zone like Blackened Sun, and it doesn't stay polished and wine-label clear like Barolo. Compared to Blood Brother, it feels more compact and weighty, with less lift and less "belongs here" readability.
I use it for places where UI needs to feel serious without turning flat: billing states, alert panels, and dashboards and finance apps that need a controlled warning. In print, it's great for wine packaging and editorial trims where you want density and mood more than clarity. It sits well against cream, tan, and dark charcoal, and it keeps its temperature so it won't read as rust.
Quirk to watch: over light backgrounds it can swallow fine linework, so give it slightly thicker type or let it breathe with more negative space.
