Your Shadow
#787e93
Neutral purple-gray veil for subtle, low-contrast layers
About Your Shadow
You see Your Shadow on a frosted label tab or a dimmed notification badge, not as a bright purple but as a cool, controlled haze. It has that muted lavender cast that reads more "shade" than "hue," staying distinctly purple while avoiding the extra grayiness you'd get in Stonewash. Compared with Tempest, it feels less dashboard-cool and more dusk-soft, with a slightly quieter saturation. And unlike Infinity and Beyond, it doesn't hold that crisp cool office fluorescence.
I reach for it when I need the one you reach for purple that still feels intentional beside slate text and medium grays. Think dashboards and finance apps for muted links, secondary tags, filter chips, and chart annotations where you want hierarchy without stealing attention. It also works well in product documentation UIs, ticketing systems, and admin panels where the accent should feel steady across long sessions.
Pair it with cleaner, lighter neutrals so it doesn't sink further into the background. If you go too warm, it can start reading more like bruised plum than tech purple.
