Drip Coffee
#7a280a
Roasted coffee brown with a darker, drier pull
About Drip Coffee
You notice Drip Coffee on paper before you notice its name. It's a coffee-brown with a burnt orange undertone, darker than Chestnut but with more orange heat than Buried Lust, so it doesn't go brooding. Compared to Caponata's terracotta warmth, this one reads drier and more muted, like it's been sitting on a workbench instead of sun-fading.
In UI, I use it for data-heavy settings where bright orange would shout: settings screens for food brands, commerce checkout accents, and label text on warm neutrals. It also holds up on packaging where you want the coffee-shop authority without turning orange-red. Think artisan beverage labels, spice tins, and kraft board inserts, plus marketing banners that need depth over cheer.
Pair it with off-whites, cocoa blacks, and softened brass tones. If you put it next to cool grays, it'll lean toward an even richer brown and lose that orange trace.
