Kobe

Kobe is a deep brick orange-brown, calmer than Emergency
About Kobe
Kobe reads like a deep terracotta-russet stain on matte paper, the kind you see after ink sits a beat and the surface goes slightly dusty. It's clearly orange-forward, but not as bright and urgent as Emergency, and it doesn't drift into the muddy, settled red direction of Brick Red. Compared to Caponata, Kobe feels a touch more restrained and more saturated in the midtone, so it holds its color instead of fading into sun-baked earth.
I use it when the layout needs warmth with weight: product labels and spice packaging for brands that want confidence without flashing. It also works well for dashboards and industrial UI where you need a state or category that stands out from warning red, but still feels grounded. On cream stocks, it lands warm and legible; on charcoal, it stays present instead of turning heavy.
One quirk: pair Kobe with clean oranges or it can start to look brownish fast. If you're getting that, nudge the support colors cooler or lighten the surrounding neutrals.
