Polished Apple
#862a2e
Richer polished apple red for midtone contrast
About Polished Apple
Polished Apple looks like a fresh-pressed red with a careful gloss, not the dusty brick warmth you get from Dockside Red or the heavier burgundy push of Blood Oath. It's brighter and more forward than Planet of the Apes, with less brown-red grit and a cleaner, fruit-candy undertone.
In practice, I use it when the design needs alert confidence without going full fire-engine. It reads great on product packaging for consumer electronics, snack brands, and hardware labels where you want a red that feels crisp and newly made. In UI, it holds up for labels, badges, and primary action accents over charcoal or mid neutrals, and it stays legible on dark product hero banners without turning maroon.
Pairing note: it can look a little too "made today" beside cool grays and sterile whites. Warm cream and light tan keep it from flattening, and they make the glossier undertone feel intentional.
