Peanut
#7a4434
Peanut brown-orange with muted cocoa warmth, calmer
About Peanut
Peanut is the brown you notice on a paper bag label that has seen real kitchens and real light. It's not as dark or cocoa-dense as Cacao Nibs, and it doesn't carry that ashy hush of Chocolate Magma. Instead, it lands in the mid range with a softer, more toasty orange-brown undertone.
I use it when the design needs warmth that stays readable on cream and off-whites. It's great for packaging for snack brands, e-commerce product pages, and UI elements like section headers and form states where you want warmth without flipping into the brighter "orange" side. Compared with Nutmeg, Peanut reads a touch deeper and more earthy, less spice-clean, more grounded.
Quick caution: pair it with cool grays and it can start to feel slightly muddy. Warm it back up with caramel accents or deep charcoals so it holds its natural balance.
