About Shipmate

I keep thinking of Shipmate as the blue you notice only after you've stopped noticing the UI. It's a medium light, slightly softened color that feels steady at a glance, not buzzy. Compared to , it has a cleaner read and a bit more life, less gray-leaning hush, while still staying noticeably calmer than .

Use it where you want blue to show up as direction, not spectacle: ship it styling for form focus rings, subtle link accents in admin consoles, and calm primary buttons for scheduling and operations tools. It also works well in health platforms and SaaS when you're balancing readability with a human, approachable tone. Versus Far Horizons, it's a little cooler and more grounded, less "bright background" friendly.

One quirk: on screens that run warm, Shipmate can drift toward airy cyan if your layout is very white-heavy, so pair it with neutral borders and avoid overusing the same blue for both text and large fills.
