About Beau Monde
Beau Monde sits between Cockatoo's punch and Celadon's wash, but it's got its own thing going, warmer and more saturated than Celadon, cooler and less aggressive than Cockatoo. It's the teal that actually reads as intentional without making every other color on the screen work harder. There's real saturation here, real presence, but it doesn't dominate.
Use it for secondary interactive states, card fills, and hover effects in dashboards, health products, and fintech interfaces where you need something that signals activity without shouting. It pairs sharp with dark type, won't flatten on mid-tone backgrounds the way Bevelled Glass sometimes does, and the warmth in the saturation keeps it from drifting gray under monitor shifts like the lighter teals do. It's the one you reach for when secondary surfaces need to actually work.
Test it early. The saturation makes it slightly less forgiving than its neighbors if your background colors shift, but that same saturation is what keeps it from disappearing on you. Pair it with charcoal type and it holds.
