Green Commando
#828039
Muted, slightly cool army green for primary UI
About Green Commando
Green Commando looks like matte field paint on the inside of a tool cabinet door. It's a deeper, sturdier green that doesn't drift toward yellow like Capers and doesn't go gray-olive and uncertain like Bay Leaf.
Compared to Iguana's toned-down chartreuse feel, this shade is more restrained and darker, so it reads as "command" rather than "growth" even at small sizes. I use it for dashboards and content management screens where you want panels and sidebars to feel grounded, not earthy. It also works in product pages for outdoor, utility, and industrial brands, especially when you need a background that carries icons and tables without turning the whole layout into a botanical mood.
One quirk: it's slightly cooler in undertone, so pair it with warm creams or off-whites if your typography is on the neutral-cool side. If you stay too monochrome, it can feel heavy faster than you expect.
