Monsoon Season
#839ab0
Medium muted blue for soft dividers and charts
About Monsoon Season
Look at Monsoon Season next to a gray-blue UI bar on an overcast day: it reads like water settling in, not like a color trying to prove itself. It has a softer, more spacious lightness than Blank Stare, and it feels less "worked" than Celestial Horizon. Compared to Far Horizons, it cools down a touch, so it doesn't come off as warmly present.
I use it when I want the blue to sit back but still be unmistakably blue, especially in dashboards and finance apps where the background has to feel steady. It's a good pick for secondary UI surfaces, chart fills, and quiet highlights in SaaS and health product screens. The undertone keeps it calm without drifting toward the tired neutrality you get from Blank Stare, and it won't feel as denser and choice-forward as Celestial Horizon.
One practical note: it pairs cleanly with crisp whites, but with overly warm creams it can start to look slightly washed. If your layout leans cyan, pull it back with deeper blues or cooler grays.
