Silverfish
#8d95aa
Crisp light steel purple for structured sidebars
About Silverfish
Silverfish reads like a light, smoky violet-gray that got softened just enough to lose most of its punch. Next to Moon Veil it's less haze and more metal-silvered, with stronger opacity and less of that cool dusk drift. Compared with Sailing, it feels slightly more saturated and less airy, not as dry and sky-clean. And where Galactic Gossamer stays crisp and misty, Silverfish leans a touch earthier, the purple sitting behind a veil of gray instead of floating forward.
I like it for dashboards and finance apps when you need a muted purple that still shows up against cool grays, especially for table chrome, secondary badges, and quiet chart callouts. It's also a solid choice for SaaS settings screens where focus rings and selected states should feel less pastel and more "painted" than the surrounding background. Overall, it's the one you reach for when the UI needs purple presence without slipping into lavender or periwinkle behavior.
Pair it with neutral-to-warm whites or concrete gray tones. Against very icy backgrounds, it can read a bit more muted than you expect.
