Mink

Muted mink taupe anchors warm, not mustardy
About Mink
On my desk, Mink looks like the inside of a worn leather wallet, but it's still lighter and calmer than the darker earth browns nearby. It reads mellow and velvety, with a low-to-mid saturation that keeps it from turning muddy. Compared to Aztec Temple, it doesn't carry that red-oxide grit or that heavy opacity. It's also less dusty-gray than Golem, so it won't feel dry.
What makes Mink useful is the balance of lightness and warmth. It sits warmer than pure white, yet it holds together as a UI tone instead of drifting toward honeyed caramel. I use it for dashboards and finance apps-style panels, museum ticket flows, and restaurant booking screens where you want a restrained base color that doesn't shout. For editorial, it's great behind image captions and card containers when you need a soft landing under typography.
Keep an eye on nearby cool grays. Mink can look even more muted next to them, so pair with cream or off-white text blocks to keep the hierarchy clean.
