Lemongrass
#999a86
Warm gray-green with lime-tinged lightness for calm contrast
About Lemongrass
On my screen, Lemongrass reads like a light gray that's been dusted with a muted, yellow-green tint. It feels calmer than Gateway Grey, but less grounded than Concrete Jungle. The brightness is doing the heavy lifting, and the undertone is what gives it its personality: cool-gray clarity with a soft herbal lean.
I use it when the UI needs to stay present without turning heavy: data visualization platforms, editorial tools, and product dashboards that run for hours in agencies, publishing houses, and fintech ops teams. Back it with crisp dark type, and keep borders slightly darker so tables and filters don't blur. Compared to Nomad's beige warmth, Lemongrass stays cleaner and more neutral in the midtones.
If you pair it with very warm surfaces, it can start to look a little washed. I find it settles best with balanced grays, charcoal text, and accents that are either true cool or restrained earth.
