Tosty Crust

Toasty sand-brown with crisp golden undertone
About Tosty Crust
Tosty Crust is what you see on the inside of a thick slice of toast, right after it cools a bit: golden, browned, and a touch dry. It's warmer than the mid mustard-browns nearby, but it doesn't go as deep or carry as much bite as Caramelised Pecan. Compared with Driftwood, it reads smoother and more "toasted" than weathered and airy.
I use it when I want that controlled pantry warmth for UI surfaces that still need to look clean next to cream and warm gray. Think dashboards and finance apps for subtle label backgrounds, chip states, and card accents where Forbidden Peanut can feel a little too mustardy and Driftwood can feel too faded. It also works well in food and hospitality brand layouts for callouts that need to look like a baked finish without tipping into full caramel darkness.
Quirk: on very pale, buttery whites it can look slightly less dimensional, so I pair it with a darker toast brown or a cooler neutral to keep hierarchy tight.
