Cool, muted maritime blue for calm content headers
About Life at Sea
Life at Sea reads like a clear, shallow ocean you can almost see through: lighter than the muddier blues nearby, but not foggy. Compared to Cloudy Valley, it keeps its color identity and avoids that gray, weather-like settle. It also stays distinctly blue next to Featherbed's softer, closer-to-white feel, so your UI won't look washed out.
I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps where you want calm motion without the "muted air" problem. It's great as a page header, card surface, and secondary backgrounds in SaaS. It also works well in healthcare or logistics screens when you need a cool, clean backdrop that still feels warmer than the receding grays.
One quirk: on warmer displays it can look slightly more airy than you expect, so keep your borders and text a touch more defined than you would with Cloudy Valley. Pair it with slate or deep navy so it doesn't drift toward pale.
