Turnip Crown
#bb9ecd
Dusty, slightly warmer lilac plum for soft UI
About Turnip Crown
Turnip Crown reads like a lavender-purple that's been gently dusted with cool gray. I notice it right away on a white UI mockup: the tone stays purple first, but the chroma feels softened, not airy like a pale lilac wash.
Compared with Lucius Lilac, it doesn't hold that crisp marker-on-paper presence. Compared with Enchanted Lavender, it feels less lifted and less "sticker sheen," more grounded and slightly cooler. Versus Fleur-De-Lis, it gives up some of that jewel firmness, so it won't punch through light greys as hard.
I reach for Turnip Crown in e-commerce and wellness flows where you want calm emphasis on cards, carousel controls, and filter chips. It also works well for settings and onboarding steps that need light purple accents with a muted, composed mood. Pair it with true neutrals or cool creams so it doesn't slip toward mauve, and if the page is very warm, bump it with a slightly cleaner purple for balance.
