Novel Lilac
#c2a4c2
Soft, cool mauve-lilac for airy, precise UI overlays
About Novel Lilac
Novel Lilac looks like a pastel lavender-pink that's been gently lifted, not absorbed. On screen it reads light and polished, with a soft pink family warmth that keeps it from feeling as cool and violet-soaked as Dripping Wisteria. Compared to Lilac Lace, it has a touch more presence and body, so it won't feel washed out beside deeper accents.
I tend to use it for UI surfaces that need to feel friendly but still deliberate: settings pages for skincare subscriptions, education progress cards, and light callout backgrounds in creator tools. It's also a strong choice for section headers and empty states in lifestyle apps where you want calm attention without drifting too far into generic bubblegum. Between the two nearby lilacs, it behaves more like the one you reach for when you want "soft" that still holds its color.
One practical note: because it's not as mauve-leaning as Monet Magic and not as damp-looking as Dripping Wisteria, pair it with warm creams or neutral grays if you want it to stay airy, and with slightly deeper pinks if you need stronger contrast.
