Once Bitten
#bd2f10
Deep, rust-leaning orange-red for urgent dividers
About Once Bitten
Once Bitten looks like the first heat after a match catches, not the scorched after. Compared to Dropped Brick, it's cleaner and more direct, with less clay and more bite. Compared to Bloodshed, it keeps a brighter orange pulse instead of settling into that heavier red-flat mood.
It's the red-orange I use when you want urgency that still feels precise and readable. Think retail and logistics dashboards flagging urgent picking issues, checkout UI for address or payment "fix now" prompts, and support ticket queues where you need fast scanning in crowded screens. Versus Cadillac Coupe, it's not as red-forward or industrial, so it feels more human-alert than adversarial.
Pair it with warm off-whites, sand grays, or deep charcoal to keep the orange from turning loud on pale backgrounds. If your page already runs hot, pull back saturation in nearby accents so this shade stays the loudest note, not the whole song.
