About Rapeseed

Rapeseed feels like a bright seed coat pulled off a dry plant and held up to daylight. It's the same family as the mustards and goldens around it, but it reads more *green-yellow* at first glance, with a sharper, cleaner glow than 's deeper amber-brown punch and less mellow olive drift than .

Compared with , Rapeseed is lighter and more golden-green, not that softened neutral highlight. I use it for UI moments where green screens need a signal that still looks "grown," not mustard-paper and not coffee-grounded. Think ingredient callouts in grocery and CPG product pages, step labels in wellness platforms, and tier chips in subscription dashboards where you want bright field warmth that stays legible beside greens. It's the one I reach for when I want green-family contrast without tipping into chartreuse-adjacent brightness.

Quirk: next to very brown-leaning yellows, it can look a bit too fresh, so I'll usually balance it with a cleaner gray or a slightly darker green.
