Deeper spice gold-green for high-contrast accents

About Local Curry

Local Curry reads like a ripe turmeric note right off the grain, but with more muted warmth than the brighter golds. It sits between glow and restraint: lighter and less coffee-creamy than , and less cleanly neutral than . Compared with , it doesn't float as much. It has a touch more earthy body, so it feels grounded rather than lifted.

I use Local Curry when the UI needs warmth without tipping into red-brown or cream-bloom. Think spice-shelf category headers for grocery brands, section accents in restaurant apps, and "featured" badges in ecommerce that sit near greens without looking like a pure yellow overlay. It's also great for editorial callouts in food and lifestyle layouts where you want the highlight to read the one you reach for when warmth has to stay practical.

One caution: next to very crisp, pale creams, it can look slightly dusty. I fix that by increasing contrast with heavier type weight or a darker label background.
